Muistin, muistamisen ja identiteetin teemoja käsittelevä mediainstallaatio lähestyy kohdettaan vuorovaikutuksen, havaintojen ja kokemisen kautta. Installaatiossa sääntöjen ja satunnaisuuden luomien algoritmisten muotojen ja maisemien keskiössä olemme itse katsojina ja vaikuttajina.
Muutoksen ja hetkellisyyden tilassa kokemuksen ääriviivat ovat toistuvassa liikkeessä. Teos muistuttaa, että ihmiset ovat aina lukittuina subjektiivisen kokemukseensa, minkä lopputuloksena on usein toistuvia virheitä ja vääriä valintoja.
Reflections is an installation that approaches its themes of memory, recollection and identity from the perspective of interaction, perception and experience. In the installation, we find ourselves at the center of algorithmic shapes and landscapes as both viewers and influencers.
The work questions the building blocks and narratives we use to construct our identity while everything is in a constant state of flux. The outlines of our experience are perpetually reshaped by chance, change and momentariness. The work reminds us that people are always locked in their subjective experience of the world, which results in repeated fallacies and erroneous choices.
